Australia’s War on the Scourge of Social Media
Australia’s about to drop a bombshell on the tech giants. They’re proposing a world-leading ban on social media for kids under 16. About time, I say! These platforms are sucking the life out of our kids, turning them into mindless zombies scrolling through endless feeds of curated nonsense.
Social media is a breeding ground for cyberbullying, misinformation, and mental health issues. It’s a digital wasteland where kids are bombarded with unrealistic beauty standards, toxic influencers, and addictive algorithms. It’s time to pull the plug on this toxic cesspool.
Of course, the tech giants will cry foul, claiming it’s an attack on free speech. But let’s be real, these platforms are more interested in your data than your well-being. It’s time to take a stand and protect our kids from the harmful effects of social media.
So, Australia, I salute you for taking this bold step. Now, let’s see if other countries will follow suit. It’s time to reclaim the internet from the clutches of the social media overlords.
